Kota Kinabalu 2009

A picture of tranquility ... a family retreat.

.. sand play with daddy

... is not complete without messing with my hands.

My name written on the sand

A highlight of my stay was Barney and Cookie monster. In fact I teared slightly when I had to bid Barney farewell this time. Bye Barney, see you next time.

No trip to KK would be complete without a visit to one of the islands. Our boat ride to Sapi would make all rides at SixFlags a bit mild and contrived. We braved the storm that day. Can you tell ? I was feeling just a bit glum ... daddy snapped this just before we headed back. The journey back was in fact even rougher, the rain beat against my face and drenched us. Daddy fed me bear biscuits to soothe me as mummy held me tightly.

Another day spent on the beach

Mummy and I enjoying an easy time on the beach.

O boy, that's me at the airport waiting to catch the next flight home.

Polliwogs...

This was my 2nd visit in 4 days. We first visited the place with Aunty Amy n Kynan on Friday. I enjoyed the place so much and I told Mummy that I want to go there today. We went right after I woke up from my afternoon nap. Yippeee..

Mummy's Thoughts...

My eyes are peeled to the TV

Totally oblivious to the razor

and the silly hairclip

Can't take my eyes off Barney

The finishing touch

I thank God for Leroy, my precious son. He is truly the greatest gift from God! Sometimes he just blows me away with him behaviour, in a good way of course. He has such a sweet and endearing personality. When I brought him for a haircut this morning, he was in his best behaviour. Never ONCE, did he fidget or complain, he just sat there quietly watching his favourite cartoon Barney. Even the stylist complimented him. Everyday he will shower me with hugs n kisses and when he sees other children crying he will hug them to comfort them. My son, I pray that you will grow in the likeness of The Lord and may His favour and grace be upon you each and everyday. Mummy love you so much!

Happy Birthday Kynan and Singapore!

We attended Kynan's 1st year party on National Day. I was dressed in national colors and I also had a tattoo of the flag on my face and arms.

The Chng family

After the party ended, we went to watch the fireworks at Daddy's office. We recited the pledge at 8.22pm. Oh boy.. I am so proud to be a Singaporean!

First Day Of School...

It was my first day of school. I have been looking forward to this day since Mummy brought me there to register and collect my school bag two weeks ago. Whenever we past by, I would say " school school ". Needless to say, I adjusted very well although this was the 1st time I was away from Mummy for 4 hours. I gave Mummy and Daddy a flying kiss when I said goodbye at the door. I enjoyed myself during class I even took a short nap for 1 hour and when I woke up I had carrot cake for snack. Mummy is so proud of me as I didn't cry and was SO well-behaved. Thank you Jesus!

My colourful school bag and uniform

All smiles

Jumping for joy as we are getting ready to leave the house
