Leroy loves MUSIC!

I have always been fascinated with musical instruments like violin, guitar n piano. I love songs n music and I can move well with the rhythm. Mummy n Daddy bought me a keyboard when I was 18 months so that I can explore the musicality in me. Recently, Mummy decided that I should progress to the next level and started teaching me some music notes. So far, I have learnt some musical terms like Allegro and crotchet.

Looking very serious when playing the keyboard

trying to play the song "twinkle twinkle little star"

Realised that Mummy is taking pics...

i showed her my funny face!

Marina Barrage

Mummy brought me to Marina Barrage last thursday morning. The sky was dark n gloomy when we woke up and thought that we might not able to make it. Thank God, however, the weather cleared after we had our breakfast. We had some time in the sun but right after we left, it started pouring! Praise God for good weather n fun !

Happy Birthday Mummy!

We celebrated Mummy's birthday today. We began the day with a picnic at the beach and built sandcastles ....

don't know about mummy, but I am 2!
I had so much fun! Hmm..it seemed like it was all for me.... and i thought it was Mummy's birthday? Or was it mine?

.. playing catching....
... making faces .....
.. expressing my affections ... this way
... that way...
... and this is my own way of saying ..... " I love you mummy !! " Okay, we ended the day with a nice dinner at Inagiku. We had teppanyaki, green tea ice cream and sherbet yummy.... I finished Daddy's orange mango sherbet (what a mouthful) and left none for him. Sorry daddy, it was Mummy's birthday so I shouldn't touch her food =)

Leroy is 2!

My birthday celebrations started on Friday when we were at the Julia Gabriel. Mummy bought Barney cupcakes for the class and I had fun celebrating with my friends.

Blowing out the candles

All my friends gave me a big hug!

The celebrations continued on Saturday, we had lunch at Hai Tien Lo with the family. Mummy bought me a Barney cake and I LOVE it!

Mummy's Thoughts...

Time really flies.. Leroy is 2! He has grown from a baby to a happy toddler. He has acquired independent skills like sleeping alone, potty-trained, self-feeding, understood when spoken, he can play by himself and he kisses me when I drop him off at school. I can see that he is pretty good with his motor skills too.

It's not diffcult to put him to sleep. I will pat him a couple of times and he will say goodnight to me. He takes his afternoon naps from 2-5pm and his bedtime is from 8pm-8am. His memory for things surprises me at times. He can remember the stories in his books, car numbers and names and much more. His vocabulary has expanded so much, he even uses past tense appropriately! He would tell me what happened in school and he will sing the songs they learn in class n in Sunday school, together with the hand movements.

As parents we often think we are the ones who teach our children but really we learn so much more from them. Children are full of innocence and when we see the world through their eyes, we see a different world - one that is exciting, pure and new.

Happy birthday to my baby Leroy.. May God bless u Always
