Time really flies.. Leroy is 2! He has grown from a baby to a happy toddler. He has acquired independent skills like sleeping alone, potty-trained, self-feeding, understood when spoken, he can play by himself and he kisses me when I drop him off at school. I can see that he is pretty good with his motor skills too.
It's not diffcult to put him to sleep. I will pat him a couple of times and he will say goodnight to me. He takes his afternoon naps from 2-5pm and his bedtime is from 8pm-8am. His memory for things surprises me at times. He can remember the stories in his books, car numbers and names and much more. His vocabulary has expanded so much, he even uses past tense appropriately! He would tell me what happened in school and he will sing the songs they learn in class n in Sunday school, together with the hand movements.
As parents we often think we are the ones who teach our children but really we learn so much more from them. Children are full of innocence and when we see the world through their eyes, we see a different world - one that is exciting, pure and new.
Happy birthday to my baby Leroy.. May God bless u Always

It's Showtime!
Today we attended Deutsche Bank's Family Day Event - "It's Showtime" at the Fort Canning Park. We enjoyed a delicious selection of food and drinks with entertainment. In addition to the wide range of circus acts performed on the main stage, there were bouncy castles, face painting, wardrobe and hair and make-up rooms, stilt walkers, live performances by the one-and-only madcap roving band, popcorn, and candy floss.

My Conversation with Daddy...

I was having my lunch when Mummy's cellphone rang. As she was not around, I answered it for her. I talked on the phone for 10mins and suddenly Mummy realised that I wasn't eating my food so she came and see what I was up doing. She saw me holding her cellphone so she asked who I was talking to. I replied " Daddy call Mummy Leroy eating call later bye" With that I closed the phone and continued eating. Mummy stared at me in bewilderment. She called Daddy and he told her that we just had the longest telephone conversation yet. Daddy said we talked about what I did in school today and what I was having for lunch! Mummy then said " OH my Goodness! My boy is really growing up!"

My First Wedding Party...

The Lovely Couple

Last Sunday evening, we attended Vincent Kor Kor's wedding party at Amara Sanctuary Resort. It was lovely as the solemnisation was held at the Glass Pavilion and was followed by a dinner reception. However, I didn't get to stay for the dinner as it was way past my bedtime. Daddy stayed for the entire dinner but I left early with Mummy; ..... but not before I stirred up the place a little with Granny.

The escalator ATE up my crocs!

It was a scary morning for Mummy. Right after class, when we came down from the escalator, my f00t got stuck!! I was not playing on the escalator, I just moved my feet to the side and it just happened so fast. I started crying and Mummy quickly carried me up and my crocs were black and broken. Thank God! I was wearing socks. Usually, I would remove my socks after class then put on my crocs BUT today I refused and insisted on wearing my socks. Praise God! It really saved me! Some skin from my toe came off but it could be worse if I did not have my socks on and if Mummy didn't pull me away in time. Mummy had read stories about children's feet getting stuck to the escalators but she never thought that it would happen to me. Especially if she keeps an eye on me and to ensure that I do not play on escalators. But the unexpected happened today AND I WASN'T PLAYING! Mummy decided that I shall not wear any crocs EVER.. from now on.
